Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. (RGi) is looking for a talented and motivated Geospatial Imagery Analyst to join our team! As a Geospatial Analyst, you will be supporting the development activities for our Intelligence customer. The successful candidate for the Geospatial Analyst position requires an in-depth knowledge of industry leading Geospatial tools including the Esri ArcGIS Desktop tool set. The Geospatial Analyst may be required to provide surge support during critical incidents affecting the Nation’s security. Candidate will provide a broad range of Geospatial support functions in response to Intelligence Community & Department of Defense analysts needs.

 

The candidate must be self-starting, able to work well within a team environment and motivated to deliver innovative capabilities that directly impact national security. The ability to perform complex analyses and to communicate its results using accurate, concise, and effective writing and through descriptive and graphical representations is a must!

Geospatial Analyst Responsibilities

 

  • Provide geospatial analytics and geographic information systems (GIS) modeling support
  • Provides expertise in the use and application of geospatial technologies, geospatial analysis, and produces integrated GIS products
  • Compiles, acquires, and processes raster and vector data and manages associated attribute tables
  • Integrates advanced GIS technologies and imagery to support intelligence analysis
  • Identifies new geospatial and imagery exploitation techniques and methodologies and provides guidance on the techniques
  • Proficient in geospatial software packages including Esri’s ArcGIS, Boundless’ QGIS, Erdas IMAGINE, ENVI, Remoteview and Google Earth
  • Trains customer personnel and serves as a technical consultant
  • Uses existing or creates new GIS tools to conduct geospatial analysis in support of the Sponsor’s mission

 

 

 

Job Requirementstop

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI w/poly government security clearance
  • Bachelors degree in Geography, geospatial information systems (GIS) or computer science related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in ageospatial background, knowledgeable of ArcGIS, QGIS software and technology
  • Functional knowledge of ArcGIS desktop, geodatabase structure and capabilities, projections and other GIS techniques
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in cartography, GIS, spatial modeling
  • Knowledge of best practices for data standards, data management and data quality
  • Ability to interpret and explain geospatial products to leadership

Geospatial Analyst Desired Qualifications & Skills

 

  •  Master’s or PD. in Geography, Statistics, Engineering or Computer Science
  • Experience with SQL, PostGreSQL/PostGIS or willingness to learn
  • Conducting/supporting geospatial and imagery analysis in support of military/intel domains
