Position Title: Web Developer

Position Type: Direct Hire

Position Location:  Bethesda, Maryland (onsite)

TS/SCI CI Poly

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will work with the Communications team to provide technical support/O&M and other necessary updates to the organization's Joomla! based websites.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience ensuring accessibility for all users by analyzing a front end that functions across browsers, platforms, and devices while meeting accessibility and security requirements.

The candidate should have a working knowledge of object oriented programming (OOP) and know their way around certain coding languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and JS libraries.

Skills:

TS/SCI clearance with a CI polygraph.

6+ years of experience with web design and front-end development or Joomla!, SharePoint, WordPress design and development.

Experience with developing, maintaining, and updating the content of web sites.

Experience with developing code and maintaining web-based applications.

Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and cross-browser compatibility issues.

Experience with UX and user-centered design.

Experience with web development libraries, including jQuery and Bootstrap.

Experience with responsive design.

5+ years of Intelligence Community (IC).

Bachelor's degree.

Preferred:

Experience with content management systems, including Joomla!, WordPress, and SharePoint.

Knowledge of information architecture, workflow design, information management, and governance for site usability.

Knowledge of evolving web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3.

Ability to display a portfolio showcasing broad design and development competencies, including usability, UI design, development best practices, and comprehension of web technologies.

Ability to be a self-starter, pay strict attention to detail, and multitask across multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Ability to build trust with clients and maintain excellent working relationships with onsite staff, including daily contact with client and leadership staff.

Ability to advise and assist with a design group’s efforts to enhance the look and feel of the organization’s online offerings.
