ENSCO has existing contracts supporting USSF Space and Missile Center (SMC) and seeking a Systems Engineer with experience in systems, subsystems, and project engineering to support SMC programs. Position is located at Vandenberg AFB.  Duties will include:

  • Providing Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) support for various instrumentation systems including telemetry, data centers, radar, communications, count/timing, surveillance, command destruct, weather, optics, and associated systems.
  • Perform engineering of system architectures, requirements analysis and decomposition, including system performance test and verification.
  • Perform engineering analyses to predict and define problems, define/design actionable corrective measures, and operational implementation of Launch Range and Network systems.
  • Support system and subsystem requirements, architecture, and risk management products.
  • Support project life cycle activities, including pre-award acquisition, requirements and design reviews, integration, test, logistics, and turnover.
  • Track requirements to subsystems, generate requirements documents, validate design meets requirements.
  • Participate or lead technical meetings and government-led studies, assess technical baselines, and ensure system and project modifications meet requirements.

Qualifications Required (Skills) 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent and a minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with requirements traceability, system-of-systems integration and testing, test planning, development, test execution/witness, and test reporting.
  • Technical skills to understand and analyze system problems, define potential solutions, and conduct in-depth technical analysis, assessments, and trades and explain results of technical studies in a systems engineering context.
  • Cyber, technical, or project-related certifications, such as CISSP, CSEP, or PMP.
  • Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, Risk View, Architects, TopView, and similar.
  • AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN.  IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

 

Qualifications Desired 

  • Working knowledge of Eastern and/or Western Launch Ranges.
  • Engineering experience with IP-based network systems and NMS.
  • Experience with virtualization.
  • TS/SCI clearance
