CWMD Customer Relations Executive

ENSCO’s National Security Solutions Division is actively seeking a CWMD Customer Relations Director having extensive experience and relationships   within the DOD, IC, and DHS communities in CWMD programs and initiatives. As our CWMD customer relations director, this person will play a major role in the ENSCO NSS leadership team with focus on identifying and developing new large ($50M+) cross-company growth opportunities.  This is a hands-on role with these primary responsibilities:

  • The successful applicant will be responsible for identifying, marketing, and leading efforts to generate new technology RDT&E business supporting the CWMD mission for clients including DTRA, the Intelligence Community, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, DHS, DARPA, and others.
  • Co-lead ENSCO’s CWMD campaign with ENSCO business leaders to execute and refine the CWMD growth strategy in alignment NSS’s overall strategic plans.
  • Develop new and maintain existing relationships with CWMD customers and partners and engage with these customers, partners, and other Government stakeholders to identify and qualify new business opportunities.  Shape opportunities and position ENSCO throughout the opportunity life cycle.
  • Develop and conduct our customer engagement strategy, face to face and virtual meetings, and attend industry events.
  • Develop and execute call plans to collect information about opportunities.  In collaboration with technical staff, proposes and tests potential solutions and refine our understanding of customer needs and requirements.
  • Develop key industry partnerships to pursue growth opportunities
  • Serve as the initial senior program manager on large complex CBRN related contract wins.
  • Assist with Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) activities

Domain Knowledge Areas:

  • Sensors and Sensor Integration (e.g. acoustic, seismic, magnetics, RF, optical, chem-bio, open source)
  • Computational Chemistry, Modeling, Simulation, and High-Performance Computing
  • CBRNe Detection and Warning Systems

Qualifications Required (Skills) 

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant CWMD leadership experience (with at least 5 years’ experience working in the U.S. DoD/IC) and a minimum of 5 years manager experience
  • B.S. in Engineering or related field; or equivalent experience
  • Experience with CWMD DoD budget, investments, and acquisition processes.
  • Demonstrated intimacy across the major DoD, IC, and DHS organizations performing the CWMD mission is required to perform this role, including specific experience with DTRA and the IC.
  • Demonstrated skills working in a matrixed, cross-business area organization with the ability to build and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Superior briefing skills to varied audiences including corporate leadership, senior customer leadership and stakeholders.
  • Experience as a program manager on large RDT&E contracts.

Qualifications Desired 

  •        10+ years proven success in developing and capturing CWMD opportunities.
  •        Program Management Professional (PMP)
  •        Experience with corporate Business Development lifecycle
