This position is available at both Joint Base Anacostia Bolling (JBAB), Washington DC or Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Maryland.  

Shift Hours: Day-Shift; core support hours are 0600 -1800.

Overview: Seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Change Manager supporting the Air Force National Capital Region (AFNCR) program. The Change manager will support the 744th/794th Communications Squadrons at Joint Bases Andrews or Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling on both SIPR and NIPR domains

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Incorporate and leverage industry best practices while maintaining alignment with AFNCR goals and capabilities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the change management service including planning, scheduling, evaluating, approving and implementing activities.
  • Evaluate change requests and make recommendations (approve/deny/modify) based upon conformity to policy, assessed risk, readiness, and completion of change data.
  • Attend all of the Change Boards (RRB, ERB, ORB and CCB) • Administrator the board request and changes.
  • Create and post the weekly agenda and minutes
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation of change related artifacts.
  • Facilitate meetings to plan and schedule changes.
  • Collaborate with project teams to plan, coordinate and rollout changes to controlled testing and production; obtain required approvals, and transition project to production.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for executives, managers, and engineers.
  • Ensure scheduled service windows, outages, and service level agreements are adhered to.
  • Participated in weekly meetings to provide status updates to upper management.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Currently possess an active Secret security clearance
  • Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at least IAT level II, e.g. Security+ CE.
  • Solid understanding of Project Management and Project Management Office
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships, partnerships and external networks
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and work effectively in a collaborative team environment while keeping the team informed
  • Excellent customer facing skills
  • Excellent researching, decision-making and organizational skills are required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project or similar project management tool
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection and other guidelines where appropriate
