Position Description:

KaylaTek has an exciting Desktop Support/Routine Requirements Team opportunity supporting a highly visible AFNCR-IT support contract at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Certifications Required: Security + CE (IAT-level II)

Security Clearance Required: Final Secret

Location: Pentagon, Arlington, VA - 100% on site

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide installation and support services for computer hardware, standard and local software applications, communications, e-mail accounts, desktop and laptop systems, multi-function output devices, and computer support to both local and remote users.
  • Provide desktop imaging services using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Support/execute routine requirements
    • Allocate and deploy asset(s) requirements for new office standups/moves
    • Coordinate installation/activation/re-activation of network ports (NIPR/SIPR) for new/existing offices, including telecommunications services
    • Assist with set-up of assets at workstations - validating operational status of both hardware/network connections for end-users
    • Provide desktop support troubleshooting for issues with hardware/software during and after deployments - Re-imaging laptops/desktops (NIPR/SIPR), installing supplemental applications when requested and providing/acquiring auxiliary hardware required during setup/installation
  • Utilize/update work orders assigned on BMC RemedyInstallation services include managing the setup, installation, moves, adds, and changes for IT hardware and software. Assist users with hardware, software, and operational support requirements using industry standard practices. Tickets are retrieved from the Remedy system.
    • Ensuring all requisite components are present with customer(s) - Requirements/requests are accurately provided, coordinate with appropriate support group to fulfill request, and verify operational status and satisfaction with customer once request is complete
    • Providing updates within the work order for requirements still on-going or completed
    • Creating necessary tasks and generating additional work orders for support when needed; following up with tasks/additional work orders to track progress and ensure completion
  • Troubleshoot IT related hardware, e.g., computers, laptops, printers, scanners, speakers, PDA's, cell phones, monitors, desktop cameras, and other peripheral devices, software, etc., to determine the best method of repair.
  • When necessary coordinate the repair activities with the manufacturer or extended warranty vendor. Have basic LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) operational knowledge and/or general working knowledge of how devices on a network communicate with each other.
  • Provide IT services for MS Internet Explorer applications, and common system software.
  • Provide IT infrastructure after hours & weekend support as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Science preferred
  • Final DOD Secret Clearance (will be verified during prescreen)
  • Currently possess an active DoD IAT Level II certification, Security+CE or higher. (will be verified during prescreen)
  • Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience supporting operations centers supporting 15,000 or more customers integrating service providers for a blend of basic and premier customers.
  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN
