Penacity, LLC Company is seeking a vibrant and enthusiastic commercial estimator to fill a permanent position. This position will operate in a growing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Summary - You will be responsible for coordinating design/estimating team, designing projects and reviewing bids as they come in and ensuring all proposals are completed in a skillful and timely manner. Attend events & build relationships with clients, venders, and subs.

  • Manage assigned quote requests and report on status to each internal stakeholder
  • Designing and estimating of Structured Cabling projects and building customer facing proposals
  • Possess field knowledge in order to provide accurate labor & material estimates
  • Ability to review construction plans, perform take-offs and review material specifications to compose BOM's and bid responses
  • Ability to attend project walk throughs to survey site conditions and prepare reports for internal review / estimate preparation
  • Compose a bill of materials for each project in order to obtain pricing from Manufacturers and Distributors
  • Propose necessary structured cabling solutions based on customers' requirements
  • Ability to work closely with Sales, Finance and Procurement to ensure proposals align with organizational standards
  • Able to compile RFI responses in order to successfully gain the necessary information to propose an accurate quote
  • Work closely with and maintain relationships with clients seeking Estimates
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge

Job Requirementstop

  • Minimum of (4-8) year's Electrical experience in Estimating & or related field a must.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field plus and or experience combined
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Estimating software (such as IntelliBid, Auto Cad, stack, connectwise, and Accubid, and be able to learn other programs to be successful at estimating)
  • Have a wide understanding of the electrical industry, BICSI/ANSI/TIA and the NEC code
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Low voltage experience & understanding
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints/drawings
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Microsoft Excel), Various Estimating software and ERP systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Minimum of (3-5) years Structured Cabling Design/ Estimating experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cabling standards and components
  • Skillful in writing a detailed scope of work for client presentation
  • AV experience a plus but not a requirement
  • Ability to multitask!
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have the proven ability to design, engineer, estimate, and develop a written and graphic representation of the company's proposed solutions utilizing the software resources provided by the company.

  • RCDD Certification
  • A copy of your valid Driver License & record,
  • Being able to prove authorization to work in the United States
  • Capable of passing a back-ground check and drug free
  • Experience with the following systems: Data/voice structured cabling systems, audiovisual presentation, and conferencing systems a plus, wireless systems including Wi-Fi, public safety distribution systems, access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance systems, medium voltage.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and Autodesk Revit/AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM)
  • Bachelor's degree in related field plus and or experience

Effective visual/verbal communication skills are essential. Candidate should possess a proficient understanding of interrelationships among design/engineering disciplines, clients, venders, and contractors. Serious inquires only.
