We are looking for the best and brightest Information Systems Security Engineer to join our winning and innovative information technology team! 

What you'll do:

Plan, develop, and execute engineering and development activities in accordance with the project objectives. Communicate system security architecture, design, and implementation recommendations with team leads and senior leadership. Help determine technical goals in consultation with staff management. Make detailed plans to accomplish technical goals.

Identify reusable architectures/components for possible application to the effort. Assist the Sponsor by recommending adoption priorities for reusable architectures/components. Derive security control inheritance using reusable architectures/components to increase the execution speed of the A&A process.

As a part of the team you will provide enterprise service and security engineering expertise. Provide guidance to develop products deployed on the Sponsor’s network. Maintain focus on the systems engineering/cyber security engineering related tasks. You will investigate new technologies or products, evaluating, testing, prototyping, and recommending products.

Provide advice on system security architecture, design, and implementation. Assist with identification of AWS services and controls to be used in pipeline development. Provide AWS-focused application development expertise.

Assist with pipeline development, control compliance and workflow design.

What you'll bring:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline.

· Demonstrated capability in root cause analysis and solution architecting of complex technical issues.

· Demonstrated experience preparing and providing information security briefings to technical and non-technical audiences.

· Demonstrated experience developing documentation to meet security requirements and guidance.

· Demonstrated experience working with networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP

· Demonstrated experience working with distributed networks.

· Demonstrated experience using containers such as Docker

· Demonstrated experience architecting, designing and implementing Cloud Solutions

· Demonstrated experience in all steps of the RMF process.

· Demonstrated experience applying security risk assessment methodology to system development, threat model development, vulnerability assessments, and security risk analyses.

Other demonstrated experiences which are highly desired, though not required, include:

· Demonstrated experience supporting projects in Sponsor’s Enterprise IT environment (understanding of enterprise technologies, processes, security practices).

· Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor’s cloud environment.

· Demonstrated experience writing and editing documentation deliverables such as manuals, briefings, newsletters, white papers, and reports.

· Demonstrated experience writing for technical, executive and non-technical audiences. .

· Demonstrated experience with drafting executive level briefs on cyber security mitigation techniques, project milestones/schedules, and strategic initiatives.

· Demonstrated experience working with operating system security (Windows, Solaris, Linux, etc.).

· Demonstrated experience with Cross Domain Solutions to transfer data between networks operating at different classification levels.

· Demonstrated experience with databases such as SQL and NoSQL

· Demonstrated experience with data stores such as Postgres.

· Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor's policies, directives, and standards.

· Demonstrated strong programmatic skills

· Demonstrated experience using project management methodologies such as the Sponsor’s Project Management Framework.

· Cyber Security certifications, such as:

o CISSP - Certified Information System Security Professional;

o CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker;

o GIAC - Global Information Assurance Certification;

· Other certifications:

o AWS Solutions Architect:

o Cloud Security Certification:

o OpenStack Administrator Certification:

o Or other cloud-related certification
