We are looking for the best and brightest database administrator 10 or more years of experience to join our winning and innovative information technology team!

As a Database Administrator for an Enterprise Database optimized for Reporting requirements:
Monitor ETL nightly job streams for completion. Provide advice to applications programmers in the effective use of database languages; advise on troubleshooting, exception processing needs and other data management issues. Maintain availability and integrity of databases through multiple access schemes; facilitate sharing of common data by overseeing proper key and index management and data dictionary maintenance. May evaluate and recommend testing and evaluation of new procedures, software, and hardware. Monitor and manage database backups, logs, and journals; install, maintain, and upgrade database software; restore and/or recover data as required. Create, procure and maintain various database related documents such as manuals and programmers handbooks. May provide 24-hour on-call support. Responsible for coordinating with various project teams to provide input during project design and development to ensure that i2S produces quality products. Works with Senior Technologists to provide technical guidance to both Project Managers and other applications developers during the development process. Will be responsible for meeting with the data tier customers and project representatives to understand their data and table / view requirements. The contractor will work in a team environment understanding the importance of collaboration. Contractor will have experience developing applications with an ORACLE back end and IBM Data Stage for the ETL. Willingness to take on new challenges and environments.
