Summary
We are seeking a Senior Business Manager to become a member of the National Systems Group supporting two divisions, Ground and Communication Division, and Systems Engineering and Launch Division. This position will be a valued business partner to senior leadership, providing financial planning, data analysis/reporting, and project management support.  Responsibilities include formulation and management of budgets, financial analyses, strategic partnership with leadership to achieve organizational goals, and coordination with various corporate organizations to ensure successful business operations.

Key Functions

  • An integral member of the Division s management team who significantly contributes to business-related decision making, identification of process improvements, and leads process change implementation
  • Develop and manage financial processes for the Divisions including budget forecasting, execution, controls, and procurement activities.  
  • Monitor and communicate trends, interpret data analytics and assess implications along with developing actionable strategies. Identify opportunities for future savings, cost efficiencies and operational efficiencies within the organization.
  • Optimize compliance with contracts and corporate policies
  • Provide monthly and ad hoc support to a variety of financial and operational projects, including planning, scheduling, tracking of deliverables and monitoring performance
  • Maintain strong working relationships with customers to identify and secure STE allocations and funding. Provide monthly financial status updates to customers
  • Ensure timely communication of action items and project status to Division.  Provide regular business updates at meetings.  Serve as primary liaison with corporate service organizations
  • Identify and facilitate procurement of equipment and services necessary to accomplish programmatic objectives; coordinate, submit, and track Special Purpose Plant Equipment (SPPE) projects
  • Manage facility requirements for staff at multiple geographically-dispersed customer facilities including office space planning; coordinating facilities/equipment maintenance, moves, and other requirements
  • Provide leadership for the administrative support team. Communicate organizational and corporate processes and provide mentoring/guidance
  • Ensure adherence to security and safety policies throughout the organization; manage maintenance and testing of the Divisions Business Continuity Plan

Required

  • Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in accounting, finance management, or business management
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to independently create and accurately analyze data
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in the use of MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with financial systems, such as SAP, Business Warehouse, data analytics, knowledge management and/or collaboration tools
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) to support the preparation and presentation of briefings for internal dissemination
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SSBI/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government.  U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred

  • Experience in budget forecasting and tracking
  • Ability to anticipate the need for, develop, and implement business processes and reports to keep management informed of financial status
  • Strong experience in finance and administrative business functions
  • Knowledge of Tableau visualization tool
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with various organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with corporate service organizations (e.g., Finance, IT, Facilities, Security, and Corporate Communications) and effectively interface with all levels of management and staff
  • Current TOP SECRET/SCI clearance is a plus
