Responsibilities:
The Aerospace Corp. is seeking a skilled C2 Planning Engineer for our Colorado Springs location. This individual will report to the Command, Control, and Communications (C3) Engineering & Operations Department (CEOD), which provides operationally-focused engineering solutions for space enterprise C3 systems. CEOD efforts include influencing future electronic warfare and satellite communications (SATCOM) investments; providing operational C2 expertise into future systems; providing systems engineering support for missions and C2 system development; leading system and software test planning and execution campaigns; supporting ground system and architecture modernization efforts; providing software development expertise; and, supporting traditional and non-traditional customers to ensure C3 programs have adequate levels of assuredness to maximize opportunities for operational success. Our understanding of the operational environment helps us guide requirements development, integration, fielding, and operational readiness decisions.
This role will provide technical and programmatic support to US Space Force, US Space Command, and other organizations in the space enterprise. This support will influence future battle management and command and control (BMC2) prototypes/systems, advanced battle management system (ABMS) architectures, joint all-domain command and control (JADC2) development, and other operational C2 concepts. The individual will support the government in acquiring and testing next-generation capabilities by providing programmatic oversight and technical/operational expertise. The individual will work both independently and in teams as a technical/operational authority, consultant, primary investigator, or project leader. The individual will lead or organize technical efforts or project teams, as required, and organize interfaces between space enterprise customers, mission partners, and Aerospace technical and management staff.
