Job Summary

The Finance division oversees Government Compliance.   Civil Services Group (CSG) Contract Biller develops and maintains key stakeholder relationships with internal and external customers as needed.   The department environment is supportive, dynamic, interesting, and innovative.

What You ll Be Doing

  • You will collaborate with internal organizations regarding customer invoicing terms and conditions, requirements, funding status, and unbilled costs.  
  • You will review proposed invoicing terms and conditions to ensure invoices and billing procedures remain consistent for all our customers.   Recommends alternative solutions or approaches as necessary.
  • You will prepare invoices with sufficient supporting documentation. Survey project costs for billability to ensure invoicing matches the customer s contract terms and is consistent with corporate practices.  
  • You will assist internal and external customers regarding billing inquiries.
  • You will perform preliminary collection activities and documentation on past due accounts.
  • You will prepare general ledger journal entries to record billed and unbilled activity during the fiscal month and performs month-end close activities as assigned.
  • You will prepare schedules in support of the company s annual incurred Cost Claim submission.

What You Need to be Successful:

Minimum Requirements Level II:

  • Bachelor s degree from an accredited program (Transcripts for degree completion may be requested)
  • Typically, four or more years of contract billing experience
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, submitting timely and accurate invoices with financial support documentation
  • Ability to review and understand contract terms and conditions and ensure the customer s contractual invoicing requirements remain within existing billing processes and invoice formats
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Workday) and MS Excel
  • Position requires working a standard 5-day schedule and working more than standard working hours, particularly during fiscal year-end close (September through November)
  • This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

What You Need to be Successful:

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Master s Degree in Accounting from an accredited program or a CPA
  • 10 or more years of contract billing experience
  • Financial reporting to multiple government agencies within prescribed deadlines
  • Experience with Federal contracting regulations (e.g. FAR, DFAR), rates (e.g. overhead, CAS-414, and fee)
  • Experience invoicing different contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M, Grants, etc.)
