Job Summary

The National Systems Group serves as the technical advisor to the Intelligence Community and its mission partners involved in the collection and distribution of national and tactical intelligence, including electronics programs, advanced technologies, ground and communications, imagery programs, and systems engineering and launch.

We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to provide systems engineering and program management support to a dynamic and growing US Government Civil Agency customer.  

What You ll Be Doing

  • Supporting Sponsor projects involving state-of-the-art applications of telecommunications, information operations, and computer networking solutions for sensitive customer missions.
  • Helping to structure and provide the systems engineering to effectively integrate communications systems and technologies across agencies to deliver mission.  
  • Assisting in development of operational concepts, defining and testing complex system interfaces
  • Attending system development progress reviews and developing the relationships that enable gathering and assimilating the information required to advise the Sponsor on technical risks, opportunities, and the best path forward.
  • Conceptualizing mission focused tasks for the Aerospace technical matrix, coordinating them with the Sponsor, and then identifying and managing the support for these efforts.
  • Assisting in coordination among Intelligence Community partners, associate contractors, and development contractors.

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS or advanced degree from an accredited program in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related science or engineering degree
  • 12 or more years relevant industry work experience
  • Significant experience in the systems engineering of telecommunications technologies and information operations
  • Significant project/program management and acquisition experience working in a dynamic program office environment with continuous customer contact
  • Strong oral and written communications skills, with an emphasis on the ability to communicate complex technical subjects to varied audiences
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), MS Visio, MS Project
  • Willing to travel domestically approximately 10%
  • This position requires a current and active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

  • Knowledge of the missions and experience working with Intelligence Community mission partners across the SIGINT discipline
  • Experience with government mission applications in the signals intelligence and information operations areas.

  • Prior experience with the SPD customer base or mission areas
