NVE, Inc. is accepting applications from qualified U.S. citizens to provide Counterterrorism (CT) analysis support. We are seeking self-motivated CT Analysts to conduct intelligence based screening in support of our client’s programs. CT Analysts will conduct intelligence related searches and compile identified information for evaluation, analysis and use in support of administrative or operational determinations. This role will be dedicated to vetting for the Partner Vetting System (PVS) pilot program but, time permitting, should also be available to backstop our client’s other partner vetting programs.

 

The position is located at a Government facility in Vienna, VA but may begin at our client site in Washington, DC while awaiting access at the Vienna facility. Qualified candidates must possess an active Top Secret (TS) with SCI clearance eligibility. A counterintelligence polygraph test will be required in order to have work site access. While awaiting clearance, they may work first shift and after cleared at the Vienna facility, they will likely work a second shift schedule.

 

Duties

  • Collect, review, interpret, evaluate, and integrate large volumes of intelligence data from multiple sources pertaining to extensive, interrelated geographical or functional fields;

  • Plan, implement, and maintain databases to store and process technical or operational intelligence in one or more assigned areas;

  • Develop analytical tools and methodologies to fill present gaps and prevent future gaps. Initiate the collection of intelligence to fill critical gaps, weighing the risks posed by the collection of this information against the need for it;

  • Plan, develop, organize, and conduct special research studies providing comprehensive assessments of broad, exceptionally complex, or highly sensitive issues within the assigned area. Develop methods of evaluating the validity, accuracy, and reliability of a broad array and high volume of information, for translation into intelligence relevant to the organization. Analyze the significance and policy implications of issues in the assigned area;

  • Initiate contact with personnel stationed overseas, other senior intelligence analysts, and experts in specialty fields to validate and ascertain reliability of information;

  • Analyze intelligence reports and data to make recommendations shaping agency programs;

  • Develop strategies for major areas of uncertainty in domestic and international political, social, or economic policies, trends, or situations that had potentially significant repercussions to the agency, to the United States, or internationally;

  • Provide interpretation of intelligence analyses and draft critical interagency intelligence assessments. Apprise policy and intelligence officials at all levels, within and outside the organization, on emerging issues by preparing intelligence reports and presenting oral briefings;

  • Develop the organization's position on controversial or disputed issues. Write for various publications on behalf of the organization. Respond to requests for information from a wide variety of sources;

  • Serve as technical expert, independently developing and maintaining critical relationships with various stakeholders in the government, private industry, and academia to further intelligence research, operations, and/or technology development efforts. Create processes by which the organization pursues collaborative arrangements and relationships with the Intelligence Community and intelligence proponents. Conceive, develop, and implement outreach strategies designed to reach and engage intelligence entities in technology transfer and commercialization efforts. Provide advice and assistance on developing policies and procedures for the organization's liaison activities;

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate briefings and information exchange opportunities. Serve as organizational spokesperson at public meetings, formal and informal briefings, workshops, and press conferences on extremely technical and complex program activities.

  • Collateral duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Education and Work Experience:

  • Minimum six years of analytical experience with US Government agencies required, with operational level experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Must be proficient in utilizing intelligence related automation to support analytical efforts and product development.
  • Counterterrorism analysis experience is highly desirable.
  • Must have strong research and writing skills.
  • Must possess and maintain a current TS/SCI / CI Poly security clearance.

The work of the CT Analyst requires teamwork, self-motivation, the exercise of discretion, judgment and the ability to work well under stress. The CT Analyst must prioritize and follow- up on his or her own actions without prompting, while also supporting joint venture operations  related to the requirements set forth in Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD) 6 and HSPD 11. The CT Analyst will be responsible for conducting intelligence-based screening in support of our client’s programs. They will conduct intelligence related searches and compile identified information for evaluation, analysis, and use in support of administrative or operational determinations. The CT Analyst will be required to represent our client in developing and maintaining viable working relationships with other stakeholders within the intelligence and foreign affairs communities.
