What will you do?

Azure Summit Technology is currently seeking a Facility Manager. This position is located in our Melbourne, Florida, facility.  There may be occasional travel to locations in Fairfax, Virginia, and Baltimore, Maryland.

The successful applicant will become part of a world class team and work collaboratively with an outstanding group of geographically dispersed employees to support development and production of advanced electronic systems for the DoD and other customers.

The Facility Manager is responsible for all aspects of facilities management for Azure Summit Technology’s Melbourne, Florida, facility.  The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, changing priorities, and a team environment. 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Melbourne facility and respond to emergencies
• Maintain facility appearance standards
• Escort service providers and other visitors as needed
• Communicate with building representatives as needed
• Coordinate all facility maintenance activities to include hands-on supervision of multiple vendors (i.e., plumbers, electricians, etc.)
• Coordinate with leadership, personnel, outside agencies, and programs to ensure successful execution of on-site activities, meetings, events, and operations
• Plan and supervise building modifications including major capital Leasehold Improvement (LHI) project
• Ensure all required operations paperwork is completed and up-to-date including permits, inspections, and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with approved standards and policies relating to office space and furnishings
• Plan utilization of office space with requirements of organizational efficiency and available facilities funding

Basic Requirements

- US citizenship, due to the nature of the work and contract requirement
- Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance, due to the nature of the work and contract requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years’ facilities management experience working within a cleared government contractor facility
- Availability to work off-hours emergencies and holidays

Preferred Requirements
- Facilities Management Professional (FMP) Certification
- 10 years or more facilities management experience working within a cleared government contractor facility
