JUNIOR SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER AND TESTER

Role Description

·        Work closely with developers, professional services team, and product managers to define the automated testing components that will be used to validate requirements against developed software.

·        Candidate must have 1-2 years of hands-on automated test coding experience using Java (or development experience with C++ or C# desired)

·        Previous experience required with the following: Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD); Test Driven Development (TDD, Cucumber); API testing tools (such as Swagger and REST client), Java (including frameworks such as Spring and Springboot); and automation tools such as JUnit, Selenium WebDriver, and REST API

·        Must have knowledge in REST/SOAP API design concepts with JSON/XML

·        Candidate must be a team player with excellent verbal communication skills and energy 

·        Candidate should have experience on automation results analysis and generate automation result reports

·        Experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases

Minimum Skills

·        Must be a US Citizen

·        Must have an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

·        Must be willing to come on site minimum of 1 day/week

·        1+ years of hands-on automated test coding experience using Java (or development experience with C++ or C#)

·        Previous experience required with the following: Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD); Behavior Driven Development (Cucumber); Java (including frameworks such as Spring and Springboot); and open-source automation tools such as Selenium/Serenity/Cucumber

·        Experience with Serenity and/or Cucumber

·        Experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases

·        Experience with REST/SOAP webservices and APIs

·        Experience with SQL

Preferred Skills

·        Hands on experience in Open-Source Automated Test Frameworks (e.g. Serenity, Selenium, Cucumber)

·        Experience using Java development tools (e.g., Eclipse, JUnit, Git)

·        Prior experience with front-end development including JavaScript frameworks

·        Experience in a large-scale Federal IT Program

·        Experience with SAFe Agile delivery framework
