This Records Analyst/Technician position requires Top-Secret Clearance. In this role the ideal candidate will:

  • Identify and ensure that all "permanent" records are transferred to the custody of the NARA.
  • Respond to all referrals within 60 days to the Defense Information Systems Agency in compliance with Executive Order 13526, section 3.3(d).
  • Conduct a page-by-page review of all Defense Information Systems Agency records and equities.
  • Refer all records containing information that originated with other agencies, or the disclosure of which would affect the interest or activities of another agency, to that agency for review.
  • Receive the documents to be reviewed from NARA personnel and will be required to make the referrals for declassification for Restricted Data (RD) and Formerly Restricted Data (FRD) within and between the DoD components.
  • Meet a minimum annual average of record reviews of 20,000 records and a maximum of 40,000, based on NARA's personnel monthly reporting of record handling, and have a 95 percent accuracy rate with zero security infractions.
  • The efforts will be governed by the same criteria that govern access to other classified information, which are contained in DoD 5200.1-R and DoD 5220.22R.
  • At times, perform duties in cold temperatures and may need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds and ensure that the integrity of the contents of each archival box remains intact.
  • Be tasked to work as part of a team consisting of NARA personnel and other Contractors conducting analysis duties for different agencies.
  • Refer all records containing information that originated with other agencies, or the disclosure of which would affect the interest or activities of the agency, to that agency for review.
  • Identify, locate, retrieve, and properly label records after review.
  • Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00am-5:30pm, with a break for lunch.

Required Skills:

  • Top Secret Clearance
  • BS/BA degree
  • 3-5 years' experience in relevant Records and Information Management field. Fields include records schedules, electronic records management, records policy development and coordination across various stakeholder groups.
  • Prior experience as a NARA-certified federal government Records Manager (RM) or Records Liaison Officer (RLO) would be greatly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Records Management laws, rules (CFR -- Code of Federal Regulations) and (NARA) regulations and how they would apply to WFMO's new RM program.
  • Application of appropriate security and privacy safeguards; and disposition criteria
  • Collaborate on the in-house maintenance burden by providing related business, technical, and management functions.
  • Experience with SharePoint or other electronic records management systems.
