NS2 Mission is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed professional as the Software Engineer to support our team in Northern VA.
The ideal candidate will be skilled at maintaining and enhancing mission critical applications with an ability to leverage cloud infrastructure and services to modernize the overall architecture. They will work with the current development team to maintain the current capabilities, collaborate with mission partners to design new features, and develop and test new software for the system. Specifically, this position is looking for a knowledgeable Grails developer to support a micro-service architecture.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related or an additional 3-6 years of experience in lieu of degree
- Demonstrated experience with Java and one or more technologies (e.g., Servlets, Hibernate, Spring, Web Services/J2EE)
- Demonstrated experience with Grails development
- Demonstrated experience with SQL and relational databases
- Demonstrated experience in Web server technologies (Tomcat, Web Logic, IIS, HttpCore)
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in continuous integration and delivery tools (e.g., Git)
- Demonstrated experience with LDAP/Active Directory
- Amazon certifications
- Experience working in an Agile scrum team work environment
