NS2 Mission is actively seeking to add a highly motivated, Junior to Mid-Level Software Engineers to support our team in Chantilly, VA.

The ideal candidates will be instrumental with providing Java Development as well as troubleshooting and debugging complex problems, including writing automated tests, including Junit. Ideal candidates for this position will have the ability to work in an environment with a focus on detail and quality along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Part of a small team, this role will focus on quality product and backwards compatibility, hence Candidates must be comfortable speaking with customers as interaction with users via email and phone is a required. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in an environment with a focus on detail and quality, both independently and as part of a team are mandatory.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong Java programmer that is proficient both in development and troubleshooting complex software problems
• Strong Linux/UNIX/Windows skills
• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Desired Qualifications:

• 4+ Years of Java experience
• Java certifications or equivalent knowledge
• Proficient in writing JUnit tests and Javadoc documentation
• Experience with scripting in C Shell and Bash
• Experience with SCM tools such as GIT, Jenkins, JIRA, and Stash
• Proficient with Java development tools such as Eclipse, Gradle
• Experience with creating Docker images and VMs
• Experience with Java to XML binding technologies such as JAXB
• Understanding of SOA concepts
• Experience with messaging providers such as Apache ActiveMQ, JMS
• Experience with SIGINT community
• Strong background in math and science
• Understanding of geospatial concepts
• Experience with TLS, PKI Certificates
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
