The Oracle National Security Group is seeking a business manager to lead a segment of Oracle’s Defense and Intelligence services business. This role requires experience in managing P&L and an active CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:  SECRET--TS/SCI preferred. Ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with EUCOM and/or AFRICOM.
 
Job Description:

This manager-level position is responsible for a segment within a given practice focused on a specific industry, service line, technology center, specialty area or region. Responsible for managing the three main pillars of a practice: people management, portfolio/delivery management and sales enablement. Has profit and loss responsibility or financial/expense management of practice.

Accountable for operational/financial metrics and overall business results of practice. Responsible for maintaining practice direction, ensuring quality of consulting delivery, and maintaining customer reference ability. Ensures that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements. Develops plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieves business plan. Is accountable for managing and growing a revenue stream and customer base. Typically manages individual contributors. May serve as advisor for moderately complex engagements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience relevant to this position including
  • 4 years of consulting experience
  • 4 years of project management leadership experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Can lead, engage, mobilize and motivate multiple teams to accomplish goals.
  • Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the practice focus.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:  SECRET--TS/SCI preferred
  • Experience as a government civilian, through the military (reserve or veteran), or as a contractor in the Defense, Military Intelligence Or Intelligence Community
  • Proven track record of customer retention and success within the DoD and Military Intelligence space reflected by a current strong book of business
  • Functional expertise and hands on experience as a software developer, software engineer, or security engineer with knowledge for applying these skills to cloud, data and analytics, cyber security, intelligence analysis and targeting, and telecommunications mission challenges is a plus
  • Experience with Oracle technologies including the applicability and usage of these technologies by customers
  • Passion for technology, the curiosity and willingness to constantly learn new skills, work with new tools and discover new and innovative approaches to solving complex technical challenges
  • Hands on experience as a software developer / engineer
  • The ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and, vice versa, translate functional needs to technical solutions
