Responsibilities

The Functional Analyst will support the Sponsor’s Program Management Office (PMO), responsible for conducting research, collection, and collation of data and information from studies. Responsible for the compilation of data, and preparation of inputs into larger reports. Performs assessments and projections as part of analysis process. Plans studies of work problems and procedures, such as organizational changes, communication, information flow, integrated production methods, or cost analysis. Examines and analyzes current and contemplated operations for developing, defining, and coordinating user requirements which will satisfy sponsor partner needs across multiple domains. Translates user requirements into system specifications, configuration management plans, life cycle management documentation, and integrated logistics support plans and related operational summaries. Writes specifications manuals and user documentation for client or user personnel. Gathers information from users, defines work problems, and designs procedures to resolve problems. Well organized, reliable to driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

 

  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Collaborate with program executives, team leads, and office colleagues to compile and interpret details needed for inclusion into formal, highly visible materials properly prepared for sponsor executive level presentations.
  • Provide expertise level services in technical documentation, presentations, and various reports, utilizing commercial, standard writing principles and practices.
  • Attends technical reviews and architecture designs, assessment of technical solutions to business needs, and capable of translating information in to reports, formal documentation and presentations.
  • Development of technical concepts of system operations for Sponsor components’ requirements, system designs, and system architectures
  • Defining system architectures, developing roadmaps, and identifying planned changes that impact the system.
  • Identifying gaps in capabilities and strategic needs in relation to the strategic direction Identifying opportunities for strengthening, streamlining, and standardizing the architecture Working with multiple stakeholders in defining requirements and resolving discrepancies between proposed IT systems and enterprise quality and security standards.
  • Familiarity with or understanding of and/or experience with technical terminology, diagrams, and various engineering software functionality.

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly
  • Capable of working independently and in a team environment.
  • Experienced technical writer, familiar with sponsor environment.
  • Recent, relevant writing experience to include creation of executive level presentation using Microsoft Suite products such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Quick, big picture thinker, with a proactive approach to addressing tasks and actions. 

Education:

  • Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 10 - 12 yrs. of experience or a Master's with 8 - 10 yrs. of experience. 

Desired:

  • Experience with ServiceNow, SharePoint (Creative Cloud), JIRA.
