Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the government space?  Do you enjoy being a GEOINT mission enabler helping customers solve problems?  What if you could find a position that is tailor-made for your mix of GEOINT analysis, engineering, and communications strengths?  That’s why we need you, a GEOINT Systems Engineer to collaborate with analysts, operators, and engineers to maximize GEOINT value by continuously delivering better products and innovative solutions for analysts and system operators.

 

As part of the Advanced Concepts Group, you will collaborate with Threads across the Intelligence Agency Directorates and Offices to maximize product quality, performance, and utility for legacy and new/emerging GEOINT systems.  You will be staff to a Government Program Management Office and interface frequently and directly with senior customers.  You will support the customer’s mission by prioritizing user needs and providing feedback to the design, implementation, integration, test, and transition of systems leveraging the latest cloud and on-premise technologies to meet operational needs.  You will coordinate with external organizations, operational users, system developers, and engineers in translating mission needs into requirements as agile epics/features and prioritizing operational discrepancies. You will present Intelligence and Operational impacts on a regular basis to inform our staff of our recent GEOINT impacts on intelligence and operations. You will review deliverables for accuracy and completeness and ensure that all required items are delivered on schedule. 

 

Your responsibilities will include: acting as GPOC and stakeholder liaison, providing systems engineering and integration support, building briefings (ad-hoc and planned), proactively collaborating with stakeholders and counterparts to accelerate mission, providing up-to-date communication with developer teams, RFC oversight, and milestone tracking.

Qualifications

Required:

  • BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly
  • Knowledge of GEOINT systems and products
  • Strong customer engagement and outreach skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work and quickly transition across multiple tasks
  • Strong representational, oral, and written communications skills, including the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products
  • Proven organization and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to interface effectively via written and oral forums with personnel at all levels of government
  • Experience with Systems Engineering requirements, architecture, and verification/validation (V&V), and transition processes
  • Working knowledge of the SDLC

Desired:

  • Knowledge of GEOINT operational missions and user communities
  • Knowledge of spaceborne platforms
  • Knowledge of SAFe or Agile frameworks
  • Experience with commercial Atlassian tools (e.g. Confluence, JIRA)
  • Project management and acquisition management
  • Understanding of programmatic processes, including Configuration Management, Risk, Readiness, and Schedules
  • Experience with Requests for Change (RFCs)
  • Acquisition experience on small to large systems
  • Knowledge of / experience with requirement-capability or test-transition Readiness events (e.g. GRET, SRR, SCR, TRR, TRB, GRR, ERR, ORR, OAR)
