Responsibilities

The individual selected for this position will support the Sponsor's organization responsible for coordination secure Internet capabilities for mission. This includes providing technical advice, analytical tests assessment and design, test validation and verification of technical capabilities within the cyber-security team and to the program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Working as an expert, conducts research and evaluates technical performance of software products and overall segments and systems
  • Provide System Engineering and systems feedback to design engineers and evaluates end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through formal verification methods
  • Ensures products and systems comply with requirements and government RMF and cyber security standards and practices through formal testing and control gates
  • Verifies/validates systems with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures focused on the threat to information networks
  • Identify deficiencies/weakness discovered in Internet systems and recommend corrective actions to address identified vulnerabilities and non-compliance of systems, include infrastructure
  • Develop and maintains A&A documentation (SSP, Security Test Procedures, Security Controls Traceability Matrix, etc.) and conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance throughout implementation analytical procedures to meet changing requirements
  • Provide inputs to or create technical deliverables to include documentation, briefings, summary reports, status reports, cost and schedule estimates, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and pilots
  • Prepares assessments and cyber threat profiles of current and planned products based on sophisticated testing, research, and analysis
  • Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements
  • Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they verify/validate the requirements
  • Develop and maintain analytical procedures to meet changing requirements
  • Produces high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for government management and stakeholders

  • Experience working with scanning tools
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently; self-starter
  • Experience with various cybersecurity related items to include ATOs, A&As, and UAM
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience in cloud-based computing environment supporting and administering cloud products & services
  • Firm understanding leveraging SecDevOps & Agile methodologies
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting network services, equipment and devices, such as switches, routers, servers, firewalls, etc
  • Have an established record securing various manufactures' solutions such as Window and Linux to an enterprise level
  • Solid understanding of RBAC, hardening of an OS and required documentation
  • Demonstrated experience working and interacting with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform and interpret tests for products, systems or components
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and use investigative mindset to comprehensively conduct technical review/evaluation/assessment of technology solutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Network Security/Engineering, Information Assurance, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a scientific or technical discipline
  • 10 years of experience with the ability to tailor cyber capabilities in concert customer business operations, 3 year in IC
  • Minimum of 16 years’ of experience with a Bachelor's
  • TS/SCI with Poly
