The primary aim of this position is to be the senior customer-facing manager in-region to facilitate stakeholder communications for both Projects and Potentials.

The role will take the lead on all S&BD activities in Asia and lead the growth of the CAE D&S business in assigned sub-regional activities.

The ideal candidate for this role is located in Japan and can speak Japanese.  

In addition to lead activities in Asia to achieve the OI, Proposal and Pipeline targets. Play a leading role in the development and implementation of the IPAC Regional Strategic plan that is aligned with the market environment and the relevant approved CAE Inc Global Strategic Plan.

Conduct competitor analysis and identify relevant strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to determine the approach to market to increase market share and to pursue new opportunities within the Region.

Leads on the development of key end-customer relationships to improve CAE positioning on extant programs, business opportunities and develop partnership sales channels in Asia, with a focus on Japan.

Secure orders for services and product sales to meet / exceed targets agreed in BDIP.

Provide executive/management, PM+E, HR and engineering disciplines with visibility into key opportunities.

Maintain and enhance the Company’s strategic position in the market by influencing customer procurement policy development and implementation through:

  •          Developing and maintaining customer and end-user relationships;
  •          Public relations and media campaigns;
  •          Stakeholder and political strategic analysis; and
  •          Defined External communication plan

Contribute to the overall leadership of the enterprise.  Develop a high level of awareness of specific needs, potential solutions and strategic stakeholders in assigned opportunities.

Develop new services and product business by identifying, recommending and securing new market opportunities and product applications.  Develop strategies and tactics specific to a given platform or offering that can be applied within the Region to differentiate CAE positioning and grow business.

Provide leadership and advice to complex pursuit and capture teams, technical teams and required subcontractors on the key strategies, win themes, price to win competitive analysis, bid production and final submission meet time, quality and solution specifications.

Analyzes competitive landscape, and uses this analysis to formulate CAE discriminators, threats and mitigating strategies to develop Key Selling Points for Must win Campaigns. Proposes and develop partnerships and/or strategic alliances to enhance opportunity PWin.

Support the M&A effort for CAE IPAC through identification, qualification and business case development and execution of M&A targets.
