Job Description


The selected candidate will serve as the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) supporting Special Programs in Arlington, TX. As the CPSO, this individual will ensure daily security compliance tasks are conducted IAW U.S. Government instructions and policy.  The candidate will work closely with the Customer, Security Management, and assigned Program staff, ensuring all aspects of Special Programs security needs are met.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure security policies and procedures comply with Government standards
  • Provide security guidance regarding program operations
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government and company regulations
  • Develop, obtain approval for, and implement security policies and procedures specific to the program
  • Provide viable solutions to the program's security challenges
  • Administer security indoctrinations and debriefings
  • Conduct security reviews / self-inspections
  • Manage the administrative work: personnel processing, visitor control, conducting program related investigations, and resolving other related Program Security issues
  • Provide classification guidance to employees, develop and provide security education and awareness training, conduct security briefings and program indoctrinations/debriefings, and conduct security incident investigations
  • Support other security disciplines unique to Special Access Programs to include: personnel security, physical security, cybersecurity, Communication Security (COMSEC), document control, and visitor control. 
  • Respond after-hours to area alarms.
  • Perform initial program access eligibility determinations and generate PARs
  • Conduct internal self-inspections and participate in Staff Assistance Visits and Customer Security Compliance Inspections and Assessments
  • Maintain classified material accountability records to include inventory lists, receipt and transmittal records and final disposition documentation
  • Possess a working knowledge related to the preparation and maintenance of prime and subcontract DD 254s
  • Ensure all classified materials are marked and controlled in accordance with contractual requirements
  • Review operational requirements and system specification documents to ensure applicable security requirements are addressed and incorporated into security processes
  • Respond to walk-in customers and perform ad hoc security services
  • Make all required reports to FSO/DCSA/USG Customers and ensure program/Security management is included in reportable actions. 


Qualifications and Education Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required
  • Experience in implementing, managing and administering 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and DoDM 5205.07 V 1-4 
  • Experience in implementing, managing and administering Intelligence Community Directives is desired
  • Must be well organized, willing to work in a team environment, be able to prioritize tasking, and perform in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, written and verbal communications are a must
  • Willing to work extended hours, in a fast paced, deadline driven environment in a variety of program areas
  • Willing to travel on company business 10-25%
  • Completion of SAP Orientation, SAP Mid-level Course (CDSE) preferred
  • Working knowledge of JADE and DISS required
  • Working knowledge of Scattered Castles and CV2 are preferred
  • Familiarity of cyber security, specifically Risk Management Framework (RMF), JSIG, DoDM 5205.07 V 1-4, and ICDs 704-705
  • Ability to perform COMSEC duties, including inventory support
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.



Security Responsibilities 

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures.  Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.  All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.  

  •  Incumbent must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Personnel Security Clearance. 


Work Environment 

 This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is not a remote position.
